Our client has an immediate opening for a Procurement Manager within the National Procurement team, reporting to the Director of Procurement, National Brands. The ideal candidate for this role will help further build and define our clients’ national brand procurement strategy.
Responsibilities:
Negotiate National vendor agreements/programs and monitor performance
Effectively negotiate product costs down
Provide assistance to regional category merchandising teams to support, develop and resolve issues with vendors
Manage vendor selection and performance
Manage vendor compliance with our clients’ policies and procedures
Develop close working relationships with the National Brands counterpart and Product Development Manager
Qualifications:
5+ years in procurement with a focus on grocery merchandising experience
Strong negotiation skills and experience
Ability to build and maintain business relationships
Advanced PC skills (WORD, EXCEL AND POWERPOINT)
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Post-secondary/University education
Assets:
Category Management/Merchandising experience
