Mandate:
Spearhead the management of multiple cross functional projects and initiatives with a heavy emphasis on business transformation, process redesign and system implementation.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with Program Managers, Business Process Analysts and other team resources to highly skilled, cross functional teams ( software developers, IT Operations, vendors, business stakeholders and consultants) across multiple projects.
Manage key strategic internal client relationships with project stakeholders and senior management, and interact at a high level with decision-makers both internally and externally.
Drive project requirements, priorities and deadlines and provide master project planning to ensure project deliverables are met according timelines and budget.
Prepare and present progress reports for management.
Contribute to the development of project management standards, processes and tools to establish and maintain a Project Management Office with the CIO Program Office.
Qualifications:
The suitable candidate will be well versed in project management standards and processes, with proven ability to identify and lead strategic initiatives through various stages including analysis, requirement definition, planning, execution, and closure
Exceptional facilitation, communication and coordination skills a must
Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or PRINCE designation
Six Sigma methodology an asset
Experience with Telecom/Wireless Industries or IT Project Management an asset
Experience leading cross functional teams and managing third party vendors
Strong technical background
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Team Player who is highly motivated and detail oriented
Experience working within a fast paced environment
